This was a key enabling technology for the miniature bio threat detection system.- Developed membrane to meter fuel into cell for a biological-based fuel cell. This was a technological breakthrough that enabled the development.- Developed prototype for generating terahertz radiation from the interaction between an electron beam and a grating. The challenges of ultrahigh vacuum, high magnetic fields, miniature ribbon electron gun and active nano positioning were accomplished.
