Peter Croken’s “can-do” approach and penchant for creative thinking in varying roles as a theatre production manager, producer, and vice president of production spanning more than 35 years, has allowed him to break new ground and develop innovative solutions to enhance experiences of theatre-going audiences from New York City to the heartland of America. Peter Croken's successes include expanding the capabilities of Radio City Music Hall so that Cirque De Sole and other such spectacles could perform there. He orchestrated the return of the MTV Music Awards to Radio City after a ten-year hiatus, and was producer of milestone and fund-raising events for Presidents Bush and Clinton, events surrounding the 25th and 26th Superbowl Anniversaries, and the 50th Anniversary of Mt. Rushmore.Peter was Vice President of Production for Radio City Productions for 13 years, where he supervised technical, budgetary, production, and creative requirements at Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Apollo, The Joyce, The Beacon Theaters, and many other venues on and off-Broadway. Currently as Production Manager for the Walton Art Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Peter has written and produced several special events and original productions, and has played a major role in creating the theatre’s successful annual “Arts & Nature Festival,” including work on recording projects associated with the festival orchestra.Peter also served as Executive Director, Maltz Jupiter Theatre; General Manager, Paper Mill Playhouse, State Theatre of New Jersey; Vice President, Production for Caribiner Communications; and as a Free-lance/Consulting Producer. Peter has mentored numerous individuals in the profession, from those coming directly to it from college, to those production specialists who learned on the job.
