I lead a team of technical staff including, Tooling Engineers, Automation & Controls Engineers and Process Engineers. The objective in continuous improvement was to improve assembly processes to 70% OEE. My role as part of that team was to derive achievable objectives at each value stream process in the plant. Assisted each team member in solving technical road blocks encountered to ensure projects stay on target. I worked with my team, to standardize welding processes and assembly equipment as well as new product launches and development. I developed testing methods for product failure analysis as specified by customer and followed prototyping and production process development for all new launches.

Main responsibilities included designing MIG welding, resistance welding and assembly tooling for the production division of Ledco Limited. I was also in charge of designing/coordinating all secondary operations for all automotive production parts and to develop all GD&T and stack-up tolerances to ensure proper assembly. Secondary duties involved developing tooling standards and maintaining those standards for new products and processes.

I took responsibility in organizing and developing robot programs as we developed more modern means of manufacturing. The goal was to improve production and the quality as well as the overall process capability through the implementation of automated processes. A total of five robotic cells; performing CNC machine loading, were implemented during my employment. Assisted technicians in developing CNC programs and optimizing them to achieve best cycle time while maintaining the quality requirements.
