    Led the Supply Chain operations for the Australian Defence Force to provide logistics and maintenance to support Navy, Army and Air Force capabilities including operationally deployed forces reporting through the Commander to the Vice Chief of Defence Force. My team consisted of procurement, contract management and negotiation, operations, maintenance and supply chain specialists. With a headquarter element of 80 personnel supporting a mixed national workforce of approximately 3000 comprising of uniform, civilian and contractors. Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of ADF operational logistics at the strategic level. Achievements • Acted as Commander Joint Logistics Command for key contract negotiations, Senate estimate hearings, Parliamentary works committee, and represented at coalition partner meetings.• Successful implementation of the Defence Logistics Transformation Project from 2011 to 2013, which at the time was Australia’s largest supply chain transformational project costed at $2 billion dollars over 10 years.• Improved the cost efficiency and overall effectiveness of five national maintenance and supply chain contracts with graduated improvements to 95%+ for all KPI’s.• Successfully separated one major contract into three competing parts to improve costs and efficiency.• Oversaw the re-build of the ADF warehousing and maintenance facilities in six key sites across Australia.
