The best thing that ever happened to me was getting diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at age 45 in 2005*. I retired in 2014 because my voice was getting wonky. My passion and time is expressed in 4 roles: 1. Dad (at age 56) to Hannah (age 7) and Vance (age 5). 2. Coordinator, *Gift of the Hit - Embracing Adversity Book Series (www.GiftoftheHit.com), 3. Parkinson's advocate and 4. Marketing Advisor with Bedford OrthoticsPrior to retiring in 2014 I was a motivational speaker and leader in the how-to industry. Here's the bio of a blessed life of service to something greater than me.Peter’s action narratives — stories that inspire making changes—have helped such diverse audiences as teachers working with Los Angeles gang members, community leaders in Northern Ireland, civil servants and other everyday unsung heroes who make a difference with their time and talents for a noble cause bigger than themselves.Peter speaks, trains and writes to celebrate everyday unsung heroes who help others succeed. His tales and tools enrich relationships, deepen engagement and promote productive attitudes to maximize the culture of human potential. Peter is a high altitude trekker, including Mt Everest base-camp, and teaches how to “Tame Yaks” that a can knock service-dedicated professionals off their path of helping others.Peter lives with "young onset" Parkinson's Disease, is proud to be a first time Dad, twice, at age 50 and has a weakness for chocolate.
