Peter Hansson, with an industry experience of more than 30 years within the institutional investor community, is the former CEO of SPK Sparinstitutens Pensionskassa (the Pension Insurance Company for Swedish savings banks), a position he held from 2005 until 2018. Prior, he was CFO of SPK from 1993. In his capacity as CEO of SPK, he was engaged in Tjänstepensionsförbundet (Association for Swedish workplace pension schemes) as board member, chairman and its Swedish representative in PensionsEurope, which governs the interests of all national associations of funded pensions across Europe. Currently Mr. Hansson chairs the supervisory board of Nordkinn Asset Management AB, sits on the supervisory board of Första AP-fonden (AP1), chairs the Investment Committee of Barncancerfonden (Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund) and acts as a Senior Advisor to select CEOs in the financial industry.Among the earlier experiences are roles as head of Första Sparbankens Aktiekontor (equities and options), board seats in the Securities industries and own consultancy in financial strategy.SPK has won several awards for the development of SPKs asset management. Most recently, IPE's Best Pension Fund in Sweden Award for the sixth consecutive year November 2017, Portfolio Construction Europe in the magazine CIOs European Innovation Awards 2015, Best portfolio Construction, Europe and Best Risk Management Solutions, Europe in IPE Awards 2014.Mr. Hansson have been listed three years in aiCIO magazine's Power 100 list which ranks the 100 most influential and powerful asset owners in the world.Mr. Hansson studied Economics and Business Administration at Stockholm University.
