I thrive in complex high-pressure environments, using my ability to balance strategic tensions in decision making while providing clarity for my team to navigate ambiguous issues and evolving external priorities. A skilled negotiator, I have a long history executing multi million-dollar event contracts through a commercial approach that seeks to leverage cooperative partner investment to maximise returns while managing risk and ensuring good governance. Through more than a decade leading event investment activity for state government agencies, I have nurtured a global network of contacts across tourism, sport, the arts, entertainment, business, media and tourism. Within the Queensland context, my network covers a broad range of tourism and events industry stakeholders including local, state and federal government representatives, regional tourism organisations, convention bureaux, tourism experience operators, event proponents, cultural institutions and event venues.With experience leveraging mega events and my role in helping secure the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, I have a unique understanding of how Queensland’s competitive position within the global events landscape must be leveraged to supercharge Queensland’s Events Calendar through the green and gold runway and beyond.
