With circa 20 years in the events industry, I have extensive experience leading the development and implementation of strategy to identify, attract, grow and promote sporting, cultural and business events that drive superior tourism outcomes in return for public investment. I thrive in complex high-pressure environments, using my ability to balance strategic tensions in decision making while providing clarity for my team to navigate ambiguous issues and evolving external priorities. A skilled negotiator, I have a long history executing multi million-dollar event contracts through a commercial approach that seeks to leverage cooperative partner investment to maximise returns while managing risk and ensuring good governance. Through more than a decade leading event investment activity for state government agencies, I have nurtured a global network of contacts across tourism, sport, the arts, entertainment, business, media and tourism.
