As a Study Monitor/ Study Manager, I managed ocular Pharmacokinetic/ Drug Metabolism (PKDM) pre-clinical in vivo and in vitro studies with contract research organizations (CRO) in support of FDA submissions for traditional small molecule and novel biotherapeutics. I managed ocular/ systemic Toxicology in vivo pre-clinical research in compliance with good laboratory practices (GLP) to support of Investigational New Drug (IND) applications for clinical investigations. I developed study protocols, scheduled study activities, managed study materials, prepared data packages and drafted technical reports to ensure studies were accurately conducted and reported. I conducted in-house ocular research utilizing various methods of drug administration, performing minor surgical techniques, and tissue sample collections.Accomplishments:I was awarded the 2012 Alcon Special Achievement Award for playing a primary role in the method development and implementation of the FastPrep-24 homogenization system to provide a more effective process for ocular tissue processing.
