After leaving Townends I joined Parkers to take on the challenge of sorting out their Farnborough office - that appeared to have gone out of their way to avoid selling or taking properties onto the market!We went from an also ran to be one of the top two in the town, although L & G decided to shed their estate agency chain by fraschising it. Although tempted at taking on the franchise I decided it wasn't right for me and so left to manage Haart's new project at Farnborough - only to… Show more After leaving Townends I joined Parkers to take on the challenge of sorting out their Farnborough office - that appeared to have gone out of their way to avoid selling or taking properties onto the market!We went from an also ran to be one of the top two in the town, although L & G decided to shed their estate agency chain by fraschising it. Although tempted at taking on the franchise I decided it wasn't right for me and so left to manage Haart's new project at Farnborough - only to return 8 weeks later to my old office that had now been acquired by Romans. I worked for Romans for approximately 8 years and had both a successful and enjoyable time. I worked hard and played hard, although achieved some phenomenal results with a great team, many of whom are still good friends. However I struggled to conform to the more corporate Romans image as they expanded and so re-evaluated what I wanted from life and how I saw my career developing. I also felt that Farnborough was not where my long term future lay - especially with a young family - and so sought other solutions to satisy my growing desire to create my own destiny.When the opportunity to buy an established agent arose - in a delightful market town - I jumped at the chance and haven't looked back since! After a lengthy commute for the first 10 months I now live on a farm in Rusper and enjoy every minute of the country life. I have have also re-ignited my passion for estate agency and am currently scrapping for top spot in the town with a couple large independents in corporate clothing and looking forward to our imminent re-brand and refurbishment that will really set the cat amongst the pigeons. I was employed by Cornerstone to open their new Goldsworth Park Office in 1994. However due to the market still being a little unpredictable - to say the least - the office opening was delayed until 1995. Therefore in the interim I was utilised as an extra pair of hands in the flagship Staines office and susequently Addlestone before the office opened.
