As Captain it is my responsible to give all operationally required commands including passenger restraint & passenger offloading. I oversee and ensure all operational procedures + checklists are complied with, and I am responsible for delay, postponement, cancellation, re-routing and diversion of flight with regards to operation and safety of the aircraft and all persons on-board.I ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and that all pre-flight inspections are carried out and conduct landings in non-normal/abnormal situations where the aircraft’s performance is affected.Other duties include:• Maintaining relationships with ground staff/cabin crew • Review with the ASM or designated deputy pertinent security information for each flight segment• Keeping aircraft logbook up to date; making regular checks on aircraft’s technical performance• Briefing crew prior to each flight • Ensuring appropriate standards of cockpit discipline and airmanship in the operation of the fleet• Maintaining proficiency throughout consistent training programmes• Checking availability of the Flight Crew License, Medical Certificate, Certificate of Test, QR ID Card, CMC and Passport of all operating Flight Crew Members and verify that all the details are correct

Qatar Airways operated a fleet of 12 Boeing 777 Freighter aircraft and I oversaw line operations of Boeing 777’s & 330 Freighter aircraft. I was part of the assessment team in evaluating the effectiveness of Fire Containment Covers and a significant project was the introduction of South America operations to the freighter network. I worked closely with the Training department to develop a training footprint and operational policy, and established for CAT C operations into Quito Ecuador. I worked collaboratively with the Fleet Management team in terms of crewing, policy, training and safety, and worked alongside the safety department ensuring risk assessments were undertaken in the development of new routes/destinationsOther duties include:• Ensuring adequate training to selected pilots is given when operating into CAT C airfields• Ensuring appropriate standards of cockpit discipline and airmanship in the operation of the fleet• Ensure compliance with all regulatory + violations that occur during fleet operation and drafting report(s) with mitigation strategy(s)

• Training new pilots on aircraft and training new pilots in the simulator (TRI) on Boeing 767• Qualified and undertook the role of TRE (Type Rating Examiner) on Boeing 767• Check crew to all standards set by industry authority body’s• Member of the NOTECHS development team

During my time with Gulf Air I gained experience in airline training and checking, having been a TRI/TRE on the B767. While at GA, I was additionally part of the NOTECH (non-technical skills) project and was active in the development of instructor training videos.
