Prior to 1995, all my roles were in Bar & Restaurant management. My main achievements were being General Manager of The Triangle Restaurant, Glasgow, Scotland at 23 and winning “Taste of Scotland Restaurant of the Year 1990. In 1993, I went from being the General Manager of one large Bar / Restaurant venue October Café, Glasgow, Scotland to being the Group General Manager of the company’s 6 venues, which included the acclaimed café/bar/restaurant in the Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow, Scotland.

Growing up as a child in the Hospitality Industry, I had the luxury of being exposed to the Service Excellence ethos, the Hotel Environment and the Love for Food from a very early age. My parents strived hard to push me in the opposite direction from Hospitality and towards being an Investment Bank Actuary. Fortunately, for myself my inner passions have always been in the Hospitality industry. During my school & university years, I always worked in large city centre based Hotels, covering every department & including several years extensive work in the largest Conference & Banqueting facilities in Scotland. Also, at the same time, due to my love of food, wine and service excellence I had the pleasure of working in some of Scotland's finest restaurants, which eventually launched my lifelong career in Hospitality.
