Senior retouching role with direct communication to management, art directors, clients and designers to create high end imagery for various outputs ranging from packaging to point of sale and Ecom. The role has a strong emphasis on critical colour accuracy, knowledge of colour profiles and preparing for output. Retouching covers the whole process from assisting photographers capture the required asset for use in compositing in photoshop, all the way through image processing in Capture One and Adobe Lightroom, cleanups, grading, complex compositing and colour matching samples to images. Regular outputs on calibrated GMG printers were made to compare products samples to proofs under daylight rated viewing booths. Creating an accurate output for pre-press. The role involved attending meetings with creative and client to contribute knowledge and interpret the client brief to create the required product. In addition to this creating and implementing workflows to enable multiple people to work on a project efficiently, accurately and without compromising consistency across a range of SKUs. Asset management is also involved, everything from file naming conventions to managing large volumes of images in organized asset libraries

Job roles included:- Developing a specific retouching style and technique for the client. - Working closely with photographers to assist them in shooting in a specific way for retouching purposes.- Managing a team of 21 freelance retouchers and teaching them the methods required for the client's needs. - Quality controlling the freelance retoucher's work before going to print.- Giving feedback to retouchers and helping them refine their styles.
