About Pete Reilly

When I was twelve, I bought my first computer-programming book. Funny thing is, I didn’t have a computer. But I knew that I wanted to spend my life working with technology. Turns out I’m not a great programmer, but I have a knack for building successful technology businesses. My combination of product development, consulting and enterprise sales leadership experiences enable me to understand what customers want, drive the development of products that are uniquely differentiated, and sell them to Fortune 500 companies.I’m energized by delivering results for customers and growing great teams of people that are passionate about what they do. I’m grateful to have worked closely with amazing people including Erez and Alon Goren, to help build both Radiant Systems (sold for $1.3B) and BlueCube Software (sold for 5X in 2 years). I'm now working with Alon Goren on building AnswerRocket.Career highlights:• Founding the food service unit at Radiant including creation of the software that runs Chick-fil-A, Five Guys and others. • Leading development of a strategy that garnered investment from Microsoft increasing Radiant Systems value by 120%. • Driving the BlueCube Software workforce management unit delivering SaaS deals worth up to $12 million and operating profits of 31% as well as a 5X exit. As an Atlanta startup booster and member of the Atlanta Technology Angels, I’ve invested in several startups, advise several more and have led one investment.I believe in simplicity. I believe in focus. I believe that culture is important and that the best cultures are based on a shared vision, meritocracy, respect, open communication, and a focus on the customer.I believe in getting out of the office and watching customers use your product. I believe in hiring great people and getting out of their way.I believe individual performance doesn’t make up for a lousy cultural fit. I believe in being candid but kind. I believe I can always get better.
