Based in Stockholm, develop stabilisation as well as Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR) interventions in Africa, in line with Sweden strategies for development cooperation with DR Congo, Mali and regional Africa including supporting: * The Operational Cell of the Great Lakes Region Contact and Coordination Group/CCG dealing with foreign armed groups active in Eastern DRC as well as other DDR actors in DRC. * The DDR country commissions in the Greater Sahel, in dealing with cross border/jihadist challenges.* The DDR Commission in Ethiopia (NRC) and other DDR actors involved in the implementation of peace processes in the country, including in Tigray.

Goma, Nord-Kivu, Congo (Drc)

Seconded by the Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) to the Stabilization and Support Unit (MONUSCO). o Based in Goma in the conflict area (Great Lakes region), delivering strategic advice on RRR, closely linked to community Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR) programs. o Providing programmatic support to joint MONUSCO/government ISSSS stabilization programs (reinforcing political engagement via democratic dialog, gender and M&E, empowering State/security authorities). o Developing synergies with other MONUSCO and UN disarmament and demobilization (inc. DDR) as well as Community Violence Reduction (CVR) Interventions. o Advising on the development and implementation of the new 2021 P-DDRCS government program. o Reporting and analyses on RRR activities (inc. the repercussions of ongoing conflicts and Covid-19). o Providing feedback on work environment to FBA as well as other Swedish institution representatives.

Lviv, Lviv, Ukraine

o Cooperating with all relevant election actors (authorities, election institutions, political parties ...) o Managing 10 teams of Short-Term Observers and Parliamentarians active on election day in Lvivo Reporting on all aspects of the election process (see reported activities in Lviv in note 79 in Mission final report and reference of participation on page 61).

Mariupol, Donetsk, Ukraine

o Monitoring the overall security situation in the Mariupol crisis area (inc. military movements/fire exchange, human rights) through daily patrols across the contact line. Leading the patrols when required. o Maintaining contacts, with military, authorities, minorities, civil society etc. and local population. o Facilitating dialogue on the ground to reduce tensions and promote normalization.o Producing daily reports and analyses, integrated in the publicized Mission reports.

Kankan, Guinea

Long Term Election Observer (Kankan region) for the Election Observation Mission to Guinea (2015 Presidential Elections). President got elected in the first round (no second round was therefore organised). Responsabilities entailed: * Managing 3 teams of Short Term Observers (STO) active on Election Day (eday) in the (Haute Guinee) region, which is the President’s stronghold at the centre of opposition criticisms. * Meeting with all relevant players in the election process in Haute Guinee, inc. local election/security authorities as well as political party, civil society and media representatives. * Reporting on all aspects of the election process.

Skopje, Skopski, North Macedonia

* Managing a 7-member team. Advising Mission management on policy (inc. on the 2014-2015 migrant, security and political crises). Participating in int’l security/political meetings. * Monitoring the security and political situation on the border with Kosovo and Serbia, as well as in the capital Skopje and Kumanovo municipality. * Engaging with local communities as well as with authorities in order to improve trust and confidence. * Reporting on meetings with local counterparts (authorities, political party, communities, NGOs, religious leaders…). * Suggesting appropriate response to crisis situations. * Producing early warning and risk assessment analyses * Mitigating security and interethnic incidents through confidence building projects, lobbying national and international counterparts etc...

Hrodna, Belarus

Long Term Election Observer (LTO) covering the Skopje/Kumanoro region (May - June 2008) and the Grodno/Hrodna region (August - October 2008) for respectively the OSCE Election Observation Mission (EOM) to Skopje and the EOM to Belarus. Both elections faced security and democratic challenges. Responsibilities entailed:* Organising deployment and managing the work of 20 teams of Short Term Observers (STO) active on Election Day in the region. * Meeting with all relevant players in the election process , inc. local election authorities as well as political party, civil society and media representatives. * Reporting on all aspects of the election process.

Stockholm, Sweden

* Party to party support (including between French and Swedish political parties, members of the same EU group) through political think tanks, including the Olof Palme International Center (OPIC) in Sweden, and the Ohrid Institute in North Macedonia. Establishing a French component within a Swedish political party.* Providing training and analyses, including on the Swedish model. Produced a 20-page report “Mapping the activities of democracy assistance foundations in the Western Balkans and the Black Sea region”, which was consequently used as a reference for political party support. * Keynote speaker in training/seminars (including on Macedonian accession to the EU and NATO)* Programme evaluations including for the United Nations World Food Programme WFP in Nepal (2002 - 2003). As Head of the 4-member international team, co-ordinating and finalising a 100-page report.* Election Observations (STO) for OSCE and the European Union EOMs in Georgia and Indonesia.

Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast)

* Assisting the election process. * Managing a team of 4 Electoral Officers (EO) member of the Electoral Assistance Division, who provided security and operations support to the 120 international EO deployed throughout the country. In 2005 and again after the temporary evacuation in 2006 (following security incidents), organizing the deployment of the EO in coordination with UN forces.* In addition to daily reports (both in English and in French), producing analyses, plans and guidelines on the electoral process and security.* Co-ordinating relations between field EOs and various counterparts including local authorities (administration, police and army) in "rebel" (FN) held territories.
