Zosano Pharma is a start-up developing a drug delivery system that includes a transdermal patch as well as a mechanized applicator.As a mechanical engineer, I measured and analyzed prototype system performance, developed processes for clinical production, and prototyped concept packaging tools.

The Hermann-Fottinger Institute of Fluid Mechanics is a lab within the Technical Institute of Berlin in Germany. Specifically, I worked on the flame actuator of a low emissions swirl burner. Using both analytic models and in-situ Laser Doppler Anemometry measurements, I characterized flow breakdowns in the burner.

I worked on improvements for the Reusable Solid Rocket Motor (RSRM) used by NASA's Space Shuttle. During the summer of 2005, I identified the cause of a major manufacturing defect as well as improved safety of nozzle manufacture equipment.

I worked on redesigning the production facility for the 2005 Toyota Tacoma truck launch. After training on the Toyota Production System, I designed and built delivery systems, assembly workstations, tool fixtures, and operator lifts. I also developed the quality control process for critical vehicle joints, planned floor layouts and managed installation of communication terminals.

The Terascale Simulation Facility (TSF) at LLNL houses two of the world’s fastest supercomputers.As part of the client-side construction team, I oversaw and inspected installation of underground utilities and building insulation, systems that would be critical to computer operation. I also helped develop the Commissioning Plan for functional testing of major building systems.
