Projects included:• Corrosion testing of steels, corrosion resistant alloys (CRAs) and CRA-clad carbon steels for pipelines, OCTG and drill pipe applications. • Managed Joint Industry Project in collaboration with TWI (UK) and Force Technology (Denmark), which developed a test method and prototype apparatus for assessing Stress Oriented Hydrogen Induced Cracking (SOHIC) in carbon steels. • Designed new equipment used in Corrosion Centre and other Bodycote group laboratories, expanding capacity and range of available services.After my departure, Bodycote Materials Testing was eventually acquired by Exova Group, which was in turn acquired by Element Materials Technology.
