My focus was working on the JSA contract in Alice Springs and and on the RJCP in three remote indigenous communities, at Finke, Santa Teresa and Titjikala. Working closely with employment consultants and other staff, to assess jobseekers skills, conduct a training needs analysis, recommend appropriate training to build their confidence, and liaise with local employers to achieve sustainable employment outcomes for our clients. I provided ongoing support to both new employees and employers, to ensure that all their employment needs are being met.

My experience of working with job seekers has shown me that often they don't know where to turn to for professional help. CTB offered a suite of relevant job seeking expertise such as career coaching backed up by options of a cover letter, resume or LinkedIn profile optimistion, job search strategies and personal presentation and interview techniques. Career coaching is essential to building an accurate and strategic vision for an individual’s job seeking efforts and developing a relevant written plan. My target market was anyone whose career needs a boost, including career changers, people who are underemployed and those who have wish to return the workforce for financial or other reasons. I assisted those with multiple barriers to employment, giving them the confidence to succeed. My modules were standalone or could be combined for a complete end-to-end program. Obviously there are no guarantees of finding work but CATCH THE BOAT gave job seekers and career-changers the best possible chance.
