Professor in AI since 2011, PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence from Edinburgh University 1998 funded by Wallenberg foundation for higher education and by Ericsson. 2019 Peter was included in The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences) 100 list of researchers with importance and high potential for industry and society in the area of digitalization. His research group in AI and machine learning was listed as one of the 6 most active (amongst universities and institutes in Sweden) according to Sweden's innovation agency’s (Vinnova’s) governmental report of April 2018. Peter is aboard member of the Swedish AI Society since more than 15 years and was chairman 2006-2009. He is highly creative and developing solutions foundational and applied AI research he is also helping companies to identify where and how they can apply methods and techniques from artificial intelligence to become more successful (from initial ideas, exploration of potential to project management for successful implementation). A number of awards for innovations and a number of ideas that have been commercialised/patented. Peter has lead and participated in a large number of research project with budget up to 4 M ECU but is also helping SMEs to choose right strategy, approach, methods and algorithms for success. Peter is seen as a creative solution orinted person that freely moves between high strategic level down to implementation techniques and no challenges is to hard to solve for him. His track record in AI is strong with comments like "This is the best and most valuable research project I have participated in during my 20 professional years" (manager at large Swedish/Multinational comapny). His creativity together with his competence and ability to both se the overall picture and neds and understand the details one of his main strengths. Peter also has the ability to clearly and in an understandable way explain even complex challenges and solutions enabling efficient realisation.
