Boehringer Ingelheim is a global pharmaceutical company with +53.000 employees. Based in the HQ in the Frankfurt area, I was responsible for the commercial communication of the Animal Health business unit. I successfully developed and executed global commercial communication strategies which were widely adopted by local affiliates and thus supported the ongoing professionalization of commercial communication and helped position the company stronger in the minds of existing and potential customers.In the wake of the 2017 merger with Merial, which added 6.000 new employees, I took the lead on multiple global change communication programs. In collaboration with local affiliates, we created strategic clarity, pride and engagement among employees during the post-integration phase.

In 2017, Animal Health Nordics was added to my area of responsibility. On top of my activities in Human Pharma, I worked closely with the brand teams within Pets, Pet Health Care, Equine and Livestock. Focus was especially on adding PR and SoMe to the marketing mix. Together with the Pets team, we successfully executed a Nordic campaign to put safety on the agenda among vets and owners in order to earn a stronger position for our top product brand.
