Professor of innovation, strategy and entrepreneurship as an adjunct faculty member in the internationally-ranked Queen's School of Business.I teach in the undergraduate Commerce Program, the Master of Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MMIE) and MBA programs at the Smith School of Business, Queen's University.Also developed an on-line Introduction to Entrepreneurship teaching module that is presently taught in the Engineering Economics course in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering.Previously co-developed and co-taught first-year introductory project courses in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, and co-developed and led a 4th year final undergraduate project course elective entitled "CAVE" - the Competitive Autonomous Vehicle Project, where students worked in teams to develop autonomous vehicles that competed in games such as "RoboSoccer" (soccer with ping-pong balls), "FireBots (fire-fighting robots), and "RoboSumo" (sumo-wrestling robots).

Providing a range of specialized advisory and management consulting services to a diverse set of clients, including early-stage technology businesses, venture capital and private equity funds (due diligence and investment scenario development), innovation accelerators, and governments for strategic planning and execution.

Responsible for leading and inspiring a world-class team to facilitate Ontario's economic advantage by capitalizing on the province's thriving water sector. WaterTAP is passionate about connecting stakeholders, investors and water tech companies, accelerating business development opportunities, and ultimately celebrating the thriving Ontario water sector.

In connection with the acquisition of Pathogen Detection Systems (PDS) by Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies, served as VP Business Development and Regulatory Affairs for ENDETEC -the global sensor technology platform for Veolia Water. Responsible for implementation of a go-to-market strategy and process for newly-developed automated, on-site microbiological testing products, securing additional regulatory approvals and policy changes to support the regulatory acceptance of automated on-site microbiology technology, and support of strategic development of other advanced Biosensor technologies.

Recently completed term (since inception) as a Director of WaterTAP. Created by provincial legislation (the Water Opportunities Act) in 2011, the mission of the WaterTAP organization is to facilitate Ontario's economic advantage by capitalizing on the province's innovative water sector.

Founding President and CEO of Pathogen Detection Systems, Inc. - a developer of on-site, fully-automated microbiological testing systems for drinking water and other applications. Responsible for company organization and in-licensing of technology on an exclusive, worldwide basis from Queen's University. Oversaw the company through several rounds of Angel and VC financing, and achievement of key milestones in product development, first revenue, regulatory approvals, and issuance of patents in 17 juridsictions worldwide. In January, 2009, PDS was acquired by Paris-based Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies (NYSE:VE).

Founded and led a team developing a variety of advanced software solutions for inbound email management and "deep search" algorithms that enhanced the relevance of search engine results returned by major search engines such as Yahoo! and Google.
