I am a Professor in the Bachelor of Music program and Head of the Music Production department at Humber College. We give young musicians an introduction to music technology, experience as performing musicians in a professional recording studio environment, and some experience as recording session producers.Prior to joining the faculty at Humber I worked at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for 19 years. I have credits on 21 Juno Award-winning CDs as Music Editor, Mastering Engineer and/or recording engineer. Later I was a Digital Content Producer for CBC Radio 2's first website which included on-demand streaming content, podcasts, blogs and social networking.I also worked as music producer, recording engineer and/or editor on a number of award-winning Rhombus Media films and have won three Gemini Awards for Best Sound.I am a graduate of the Master of Music in Sound Recording program at McGill University. I began teaching in that program in 1986 and continue to teach a course there to this day. Since 1996 I have been Guest Faculty many times at the Banff Centre in Alberta. Specialties: Education at the post-secondary level, music editing, CD Pre-mastering, and music production.
