I was involved in assisting the company and its owners with every early stage development in a manufacturing environment (production of Ethanol and Sustainable Aviation Fuel). During this time I focused mainly on developing a comprehensive business plan, worked with regulators as well as existing and potential investors and financing organizations.

During this 2.5-year stretch worked with two different conceptual start-ups and prepared detailed business plans, recruited potential executive teams and brought both organizations to the point where they can work with funding sources, some of which were identified and were engaged with.

During this period consulted with several organizations working on creating Business Models, and with MannKind Corp, updating interactive costing projections on their product pipeline.

During my time at Mannkind Corporation, I managed all operations, compliance, and finance activities, working in close collaboration with the C-suite team to direct financial decision-making through comprehensive cost-benefits analysis. I also maintained full oversight over acquiring all necessary compliances to get the company's first drug, Afrezza, to market, in addition to guiding contract negotiations and informing the company of financial risks. In addition to these accountabilities, I also focused my efforts on streamlining internal decision-making processes to transform the organization as a whole. Among my accomplishments during my time here, I:- Built a model using Excel that would allow user to change assumptions, and in reaction, would transform all elements of financial forecast impacted. I was the executive financial leader for a subsidiary of the multinational pharmaceutical company, Hoffman-La Roche, where I directed all budgeting, planning, and product-costing for global leaders within pharmaceuticals including Pulmozyme, Nutropin, Rituxan, Herceptin, TPA, Avastin, and Activase. I led a team of 25+ financial professionals to identify and capitalize on key business opportunities to substantially improve out profit margins, making all recommendations to the board of directors to influence decision-making. Among my accomplishments in this role, I:- Determined innovative strategy to bring in additional revenue after unplanned delay on FDA approval for marketable drugs resulting in additional capacity within manufacturing facility. Recommended utilization of manufacturing capacity to assist in drug production for Enbrel, resulting in annual earnings increase in the hundred millions before tax (EBIT) for several years until approval.
