As CFO, I had a lead role in closing a complex transaction to sell Remedy Health Media to a private equity investor.2. Joined The Little Blue Book as CFO, then assumed the CEO role and led the process to position the company and then close the sale to Sharecare.3. As CFO/COO, I had a central role in the sale of PE-owned Interpharm (generic pharmaceuticals) to a strategic acquirer.4. As CFO for Nice-Pak Products, I closed transactions to refinance senior bank debt and mezzanine debt, and executed the buy-out of the company’s minority private equity investor.My odyssey in the lower middle market began with a ten-year run in CFO and COO - US/Canada roles for Taro Pharmaceuticals in its early stages. I took over and redefined the general manager role for the Toronto-based cGMP manufacturing operation – I built out the local management team, established financial planning and budgetary controls, managed daily liquidity and the Canadian bank relationship, and worked to develop production planning systems and policies. In addition, I collaborated with the principals in the US to establish a new US sales/distribution organization for US FDA-approved prescription dermatological products manufactured in the Toronto plant. The US/Canadian operations achieved solid growth and established the infrastructure to obtain new Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) approvals going forward.
