I was the lead (manual) detailer for this bridge in the early 80's during my time with Barry Carnegie and Associates. It looks simple but it was a complex mathematical project because it is a parabolic curve and each "arch" is leaning towards the center. Tools for this... drawing board with "T square", basic calculator, Smoley's Tables (the green bible), clutch pencil, Rotring ink pens, erasers (soft and coarse), razor blade, set of French curves (templates) and a steady hand. Oh, if only 3d detailing software was available back then!!
