Over 33 years CGP has successfully delivered over 250 housing, education and community projects for 150 clients ranging in value from £100k to £22m. These include a number of major estate rejuvenation projects for Camden and Hackney, the Walterton and Elgin Estate rejuvenation where some 400 dwellings were improved or built, and large scale student and key worker projects in London, Kettering, Eastbourne, Basingstoke and Canterbury. In addition we have completed a number of social housing schemes. Increasingly our projects are concerned with sustainable methods of construction and energy saving techniques. It was as a result that we created Passivhaus Designs Solutions Ltd (PDS), which combines CGPs extensive experience in the UK with that of German best practice.PDS focuses on designing and delivering building projects under the Passivhaus philosophy which is not only environmentally friendly but socially responsible. Passivhaus buildings, use very little energy to heat and cool (from a combination of high levels of insulation and airtightness) and can, as has already been realised in other parts of Europe, significantly ease the burden of fuel poverty for residents as well as helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We have now had an involvement with 5 PH projects, some completed and some on site or planned. We are now undertaking our first Neighbourhood Plan which is now out to consultation.

I worked principally on the design of new offices in Shaftesbury Avenue, Shell Mex House refurbishment and the National Provident Institution City of London office refurbishment.

My major project was a 250 dwelling housing scheme located on former railway sidings at West Hampstead. I led the team of up to 6 designing the project from inception up to 70% through the contract.

I acted as Team Leader of a small team covering the Hampstead/Kilburn area of the Borough on aspects such as Conservation Areas, Urban Design Advice on applications and Environmental Improvements. We won a Civic Trust Commendation for the repaving of Flask Walk in Hampstead Village.

I acted as assistant to the Group Leader on Local Plans, Urban Design advice on applications and feasibility studies for infill housing developments
