Working with Disney, I build an annual physical activity challenge called the 10 Minute Shake Up. It inspires around 2 million kids to be active each summer, harnessing the fun and magic of Disney characters to give children the confidence to get up and about. I work with all the major supermarkets and a range of food manufacturers to influence healthier shopping choices, as well as other brands that can help kids and adults make healthier choices. The app is a 5 star product and is one of the most well known physical activity programmes on app stores. Working across a portfolio of campaigns, I use a career’s worth of skills and experience: harnessing the power of PR to boost campaign reach and partner impact; working with talent and influencers; and engaging senior stakeholders across government and the private sector. -

Covid-19 ResponseCabinet Office Feb 2020 - Mar 2020As part of the initial emergency response team at the Cabinet Office, I established first base communications strategies and designed a framework for the Covid response in the first weeks of the pandemic. Using my previous experience of reacting to a pandemic, I acted as a strategist, fixer, and strategic comms adviser during the initial phase. This included handling the first decisions taken to manage the pandmic, including the first national lockdown.I worked with behavioural scientists to design comms frameworks that would set the tone for required communications campaigns, recognising the need to implement a business and society-wide set of activities that would seek to remove as many barriers as possible for people, to ensure maximum compliance with social restrictions.This will certainly be one of the most memorable experiences of my career. -
Chief Press Officer To The Deputy Prime MinisterCabinet Office Jul 2011 - Apr 2015I led the press team for Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg during one of the most interesting political periods in recent history. My team delivered a round the clock national and international press and communications strategy around key goals: a strong economy, a fairer society, and an extensive programme of regional engagement; as well as reactive and crisis communications. My role was to gain profile for flagship policies and bring them to life for the population. This included key issues like Free School Meals, the Regional Growth Fund, and a range of social mobility issues. I developed communications strategies that included events, speeches, visits, and traditional media relations. I was privileged to work with Nick and his wife Miriam on projects to raise the profile of social mobility for young women in particular through the ‘Inspiring the Future’ project. This included arranging a series of events and publicity days with national and consumer press. I also worked on international ‘tours’ as part of the UK Government’s international business strategy. This included planning, organising, managing and implementing complex visits to Mexico, India and also in Europe.
