The competence centre consists of Supply Chain Design, Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Process Development, Digital Development and Machine Learning competences. Totally around 275 co-workers in direct organisation. Lead the work to design IKEA’s global distribution network and plan logistics capacities to manage risk and resilience, using a data-driven approach and optimization algoritms to define an optimal network. The assignment also included to lead implementation of network changes, as building a new distribution centre. A new organization and competence centre was built up with teams in Basel, Philadelphia and Shanghai. Chairman of our Dealer Management System. • Managed a matrix organisation of 12 Regional Logistics Managers, located in different countries. • Introduced new logistics concepts in Europe, e.g. same day delivery. • Implemented product cost rationalization projects within logistics.• Coordinator of board meetings between Volvo Parts EUD and VTC EUD. • Developed a new interface for parts sales section in our Dealer Management System. • Board member of several support warehouses in Europe.

Logistics Manager for Region Benelux, Central and Central East Europe. Worked with strategic development of spare parts logistics for dealers. • Successful project management for implementation of LPA (VMI solution for spare parts) in Eastern Europe. • Developed dealer network in logistics and improved availability and reduced stock levels. • Led the operational excellence program EDE (European Dealer Excellence) for 100+ dealerships all over Europe.

Master Thesis; Logistics between Asia and Europe

Internship. Developed a supplier evaluation system together with the purchasing director and CSR director, in accordance to fulfill and follow-up IKEA’s CSR requirements. • The system was later implemented to Swedwood’s ~250 suppliers.

Marketing trainee/Internship. Worked together with the European business managers and national sales managers. • Created and maintained a tool for technical and price benchmarking of home entertainment products like TV, DVD and Audio.
