The Electric Flight Test Committee of the E-VTOL Flight Test Council has the task of establishing electric aircraft flight test best practices relating to multiple topics unique to the prototyping and certification of the broad class of emerging electric-intensive aircraft. The international E-VTOL Flight Test Council was launched in August, 2020, formed from volunteers across industry, academia, professional societies, and regulators, with joint support from the Vertical Flight Society (VFS), the Society of Flight Test Engineers (SFTE), and AIAA. Elytron Aircraft LLC, was a Silicon Valley Aerospace startup with the goal to design the most efficient and safest VTOL aircraft. From 2013 through 2017 it invented, patented, designed, built, and tested several test vehicles at manned and unmanned scales. After four years of research and development - including simulations, wind tunnel, and airfield testing - its tilt-wing technology was fully understood, characterized, and optimized for production. 2017 highlighted different technical challenges specific to the manned and unmanned industries. So the activities of Elytron, as an R&D organization, have been wound down, and two independent companies have been launched to pursue commercial applications, one addressing the drone market (Sabrewing) and one addressing the market for scheduled door-to-door transport (Transcend Air).

Responsible for the successful operations and growth of the New England NAA campus. Oversee all departments: Academic Programs, Admissions, Financial Aid, Career Services, IT, and Operations.NAA (www.naa.edu) is one of the largest schools graduating Aviation Maintenance Technicians who become FAA certificated A&P mechanics. Led the company that pioneered the protocol interoperability test market with ANVLproduct. Acquired by Ixia in 2002, ixANVL is still in use to test essentially all of the products that comprise network infrastructure, and has generated cumulative revenues of well over $300 million to date.Bootstrapped annual revenues from zero to $10 million, headcount from 3 to over 50.Sold to Teradyne, Inc. in 1996 in a cash M&A deal worth more than 10x revenues.

Cayman was a pioneer of Macintosh internetworking and multi-protocol routing. I created the first automated quality assurance software and processes for the company, inventing the protocol specification-based methodology we were later able to build into Midnight's ANVL product line. Was instrumental in testing three major software releases across four products. Also performed critical field technical support for Boston area beta sites.

Joined as a test software engineer while still a senior at MIT.Enhanced an existing in-house automated test harness and implemented functional and regression tests for all the software for ACI's Butterfly Mach/UNIX parallel computer.Took over as Head of QA when boss quit unexpectedly after I had been on the job for less than a year. Managed a staff of three, giving my first performance reviews before I myself had ever received one. Reported to the VP of Engineering alongside the heads of Software, Hardware and Customer Service.
