I have been a drone pilot since 2014 and have flown in many situations including the Serengeti in Tanzania and in Morocco while filming for BBC's Top Gear with Extreme Facilities.

I have been a photographer since I was 18 and started my own freelance photography business in 2005. Throughout my photography career I have covered Portraiture, Weddings, Advertising, Product, Sport and Wildlife as well as teaching photography and running workshops. I currently work as a freelance photographer and specialise in wildlife photography. I.

I am currently a UK CAA approved UAV pilot. I am qualified to fly a UAV (Drone) up to 25kg. I am also qualified to fly at night and automated flights using waypoint technology.I currently operate freelance and have flown for several companies on many different types of deployment. These include TV broadcast productions (including Top Gear and Bake Off).

Having retired from the Police as a firearms instructor, the force created a civilian instructor post which enabled me to return and pass on my knowledge and experience. Due to the rapid development in my career as a UAV Pilot I gave up this position after 10 months.

South Africa

I was a full time Police Firearms Instructor for over 16 years of my 24 years service. During this time I was also an operational firearms officer. I was trained and involved in training many specialist skills including: Dynamic Intervention, Advanced Method of Entry, Abseil, Abseil dispatching, VIP Protection, Pyrotechnic use and safe handling, Advanced.

Following my 2 years probation in Bishop Auckland, I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in Police Firearms. I became an Authorised Firearms Officer in my third year of service and remained an operational Firearms officer until I retired.

After joining the RAF and completing my basic training at RAF Swinderby then my trade training at RAF Cosford. I completed my training, as weapons technical and achieved a qualification in Aeronautical Engineering. I was posted to RAF Wattisham for 6 years where I worked 1st and 2nd line servicing on Phantom aircraft weapon systems and Ejection seats. I.
