Designed, built, tested, and implemented application that interfaced with API for third-party vendor application (“Canvas”) to allow instructors to upload grades to main system and did same for additional application to enable instructors to take attendance within Canvas. Canvas API application resulted in instructor’s bulk uploading grades in one-button click rather than keying each grade individually in back-end system. Produced several smaller applications to carry out various college functions, such as applying for admittance to college and producing reports for registrar’s and other offices. Maintained and enhanced third-party web application that allowed students direct access to many information sources as well as to register for classes, and directed annual upgrades to this web application and underlying client/server application.

Designed, built, tested and implemented a standardized document imaging system in Kofax, and made enhancements and maintained the system. Supported, maintained and enhanced a major claims administration application. Designed, built, tested and implemented a standard interface between the claims administration application and a new scanning application. On two occasions, was instrumental in the effort to replace the legacy scan system with an application provided by the parent company. Mentored junior developers.

Coordinated all facets of environment construction, including application code and external systems. Insured synchronization of external data with the master data repository. Was instrumental in the development of a data migration initiative, moving data from one DBMS to another (Sybase to SQL Server). Provided troubleshooting and support for sites.

Also responsible for enhancements to the company help desk application. Transformed requirements into design specifications, coded and tested the enhancements.
