About Peter Hessels

I'm an experienced project manager and consultant in information management, bridging the gap between technology and business requirements. Specialties: Information management and security, Project management, Content Management & Sharing, E-publishing.Fields of expertise: content management, system architecture, CMS, open access publishing, research data management and privacy.I enjoy working in teams and working with professionals. I have managed teams of professionals in several positions.I have worked in projects in Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, South Africa, Suriname in my positions at KIT. I headed projects in commercial and not-for-profit organizations. My roots in ICT are in the publishing sector, in both print and electronic publishing. Knowledge of (web-)publishing technologies and product development has been acquired in several positions within a leading international publishing company - Elsevier.\In all these jobs I combined business consultancy with training.
