Served as Board of Directors president 2014-17, VP for 17-18 for this charter management organization with six high performing elementary, middle, and high schools in Oakland and Richmond, California. The goal of Amethod Public Schools is to provide a fundamental and rigorous college preparatory education to any student that chooses one of our schools. All AMPS graduates will have gone through a challenging academic and character development program that will ready graduates to enter and succeed in college, and provide options for future endeavors.I focused on the organization's expansion to Richmond, which now offers K-12, and the creation of innovative leadership and teacher development programs, which include career ladders based on performance and achievement. Led, with the CEO, development of our three-year strategic plan, approved in June 2016, which is driving K-8 expansion into Sacramento. Chaired the Facilities and Nominating subcommittees. Facilities subcommittee has overseen the financing and acquisition of multiple new spaces for expanding schools and our headquarters.
