With nearly forty years of rail experience as a communications engineer, I have worked for some of the largest freight rail companies in Australia. As a default integrator for clients such as BHP and ARTC, my career has been focused on solving problems. I have an intimate familiarity with the strategic and technical challenges of rail infrastructure monitoring and have implemented successive generations of technology when attempting to solve them.I founded Transdiagnostics in 2013 in response to the innovation shortfalls of the rail industry. Our company combines the use of artificial intelligence, sensor-triggered data, machine learning and real-time feedback to challenge current operating paradigms. This ideology evolved into TranSend, a real-time rail infrastructure monitoring ecosystem, not just a product, but a connected railroad.TranSend was designed to disrupt. Disrupt an industry reliant on above and below rail technology that is exposed with each and every derailment. Our network of onboard sensors, provides a continuous feed of cross-functional data that supports well-informed and proactive decision-making. TranSend removes the need for maintenance-heavy wayside and ineffective equipment such as hot box detectors while providing enormous operation gains. This isn’t a concept, it’s been tested and proven over the past two years.
