Patent Research Analyst
CurrentPerform Patentability, Validity/Invalidity, Freedom-To-Operate, and Landscape reviews for clients, who include both private inventors and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Research includes both patent and non-patent databases and requires citing relevant patents, medical journals, research papers, and other technical material to provide written arguments regarding novelty and inventiveness rejections as well as allowances.• Assessed the patentability of over 700 international patent applications submitted to the USPTO, including patents in aviation, automotive systems, oil & gas production, electric vehicle (EV) power systems, renewable energy, medical devices, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), geological modeling, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC).• Reviewed over 300 patent disclosures for private clients which required Patentability, Validity/Invalidity, Freedom-To-Operate, and Landscape searches.• Reclassified over 30,000 patents and patent applications related to multi-layered products with specific physical properties, aviation control systems, and HVAC assemblies in accordance with updated Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) schemes.
