System Designer Mechanics
I support Sioux CCM with the realization and testing of multiple prototypes and test setups to aid the development of a high-tech system module. In close cooperation with the engineering team and costumer, multiple processes and parts are identified as critical to quality or performance.Dedicated setups are designed, documented and realized for multiple complex measurements. Parts are in the micrometer accuracy scale and fabricated for high surface cleanliness specification, after which they are assembled in the clean room for testing purposes.The goal of these setups and is to identify and measure critical functions and parameters like cleanliness, stiffness and dynamical properties in an early stage of the development process. If required, the engineering team can act in an early phase.

As a mechanical engineer, I helped develop world class (electronic) products. Examples of previous activities include concept proposals and detailed mechanical and thermal design of high end products. For the last two years, the team I participated in developed robotic solutions to fully automate assembly of a product.In order to do so, I designed a modular automation cell consisting of a 6 DOF robot, a generic transport system and interfaces for optional equipments. The cell can be adjusted for specific tasks by adding optional equipments to perform heat staking, glue dispensing or laser marking. By putting multiple cells in line, a solution line is formed, capable of handling all the desired product assembly steps.
Master Thesis
This thesis explored a novel motion planning approach for Prodrive Technologies, byformulating a 2 dimensional motion planning problem as an optimal control problem.This problem was solved using the discrete-time PRONTO optimization algorithm.Grade (7/10)
International Internship: Dynamics And Control Tu/E
During this 13 week externship at the University of Waterloo in Canada, a brake-bywiresystem was designed to increase vehicle stability and brake redundancy on aChevrolet Equinox test vehicle. This system was fabricated and tested on a brakedynamometer experimental setup. Grade (7/10)
