From August 2007 I worked at OMA in Rotterdam as a senior architect on the Central Library at Education City in Doha for the Qatar Foundation. Education City is a new academic campus which hosts satellite campuses from leading universities andinstitutions from around the world.

I joined Cartwright Pickard architects in 2003 and worked on several large and complex projects at all stages of the design process. I was made an associate at the practice from October 2003 and had a senior role in the management of the practice. I was project architect on an affordable housing scheme in North London for Newlon Housing Trust from inception in November 2003 through to completion in May2007.I was also project architect for a major rail station for the Crossrail project in London and associate in charge of a successful competition entry for the Elephant & Castle housing regeneration initiative. I previously played a major role in the design and delivery of a £60million headquarters building for the Health and Safety Executive in Liverpool.

I initially worked as part of a team delivering a retail development for Selfridges in Manchester. The project consisted of a £3 million retailfit-out comprising a foodhall and associated retail areas.After completion of this project I also worked on the Selfridges store in Birmingham and was project architect for the ground floor fit-out,leading a team of 4 architects.

I worked for Michael Hopkins and Partners as part of a team on the pre-tender design for the Evelina Children’s Hospital. Prior to this I worked on the new £120m office headquarters for the Department of Social Security in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Before studying architecture I worked as a structural engineer at Tapsell Wade and Partners
