Abilene, Texas allowed me to gain a wealth of education and experience in Emergency Medical Services. As a regional office, the managers here fostered personal growth and knowledge of budgeting, personnel management, and operational management. Rural/Metro also supported my education through both Intermediate & Paramedic certifications. During this time, my interest in operations safety and OSHA compliance was founded. Eventually assisting with reviews of safety incidents for operations around the state.

The detail oriented position required me to insert the scheduled comercial content into both local and national programing. Each spot, variying from 10-120 seconds was required to play withing a 3 second window, without black gaps being aired. Additional reqponsibilities included, receiving and downloading content from satalite and over the air sources for later broadcast to tape media. Prior to departing, I was responsible for converting the 2" comercial media to digital on the first AVID digital media unit in the state.
