This transaction has been marked as one of the most complex and biggest financial transactions undertaken by a global bank in recent times, both in volumes and in complexity. Peter designed and built this Finance Service Centre which was a new undertaking in that territory, from the end of 2006 through to 2007. Since it’s inception in 2007, Peter has lead the Investment Banking Finance services part of the centre and grown the team size, skills and service coverage from virtually 0 to 110 FTEs supporting every operating region in the world, with a current hiring pipeline of additional 100 FTE in 2010.•Responsible for providing off-shore services for ABN AMRO/RBS Group from Europe/World to Poland to achieve scale, flexibility, risk mitigation and cost savings. •Responsible for post-acquisition integration including rebranding of this former ABN AMRO unit into RBS and planning for taking on additional work from the RBS divisions•Lead, motivated and supported the 110 multi-lingual graduates working in this centre who provide Investment Banking, Reporting and MIS activity for current and prospective countries and Business Units globally•As a Management Team member, Peter also helped to lead the wider set of services provided by the rest of the Polish centre, which has over 500 FTE and an ambition to grow to 750 FTE in 2010.Key achievements: •Successful setup of Shared Service Centre from “scratch”•Optimised VAT position by setting up new fiscal branch structure (3 M EUR savings p.a.)•Active Client Management within RBS Group to sell the potential of the Shared Service Centre•Implementation of talent management, retention schemes•Delivered savings to the Group by “on shoring” 110 roles to Poland•Implementation of Sen.
