Participated in Company hosted training in Canada and the US covering all facets of product support especially the latest technology releases. Peter was selected by Wang Canada to join a group of hand picked technicians to travel to Ottawa with the specific assignment to tackle a very large install backlog at a large number of Government sites ranging from Agriculture Canada, Department of Defence, Indian Northern Affairs and a Military Base. The project was classed as critical and it was completed on time.

This period included the introduction of Microprocessors to the Business segment and the newly announced Wang Business systems. The product mix required training in California (silicon valley), Toronto and Boston. There were legacy Phillips P-350 systems in use that were still in the paper tape, punch card and core memory phase. Regardless of the machine type only the best in service was acceptable and Peter was a key component in the transition to service delivery. Robinson & Jennings closed leaving the entire sales, programming and sales staff without an immediate solution. The entire service team were hired by Wang Labs Canada.

This opportunity was a direct hire from College as an electronic specialist which set the opportunity at a later date for OACETT Certification. This was during incredible technology changes involving all aspects of systems, storage and printing.
