I am a 2000 graduate of the University of Houston, College of Optometry, and practice in Beaumont, TX. I am therapeutic and glaucoma certified, a diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, a member of AOA Contact lens and Cornea Section, the Contact Lens Society of America, and have been a contact lens clinical researcher for Alcon. I am a managing partner of Practice Compliance Solutions, an optometry consulting company, through which I provide regulatory guidance, health information technology consulting, ICD-10 coding, training audits, and practice management consulting to private practices. I am Chairman of the Board of Elevate Digital Optics, a full-service, doctor-owned, wholesale ophthalmic lab focusing on high-end digital ophthalmic lens designs and supporting private practices.I have served on the Texas Optometric Association's board since 2009 and was President from 2017 to 2018. I currently chair the TOA’s Health Information Technology Subcommittee, and sit on several other committees. Additionally I have served on two work groups for the Texas Health Services Authority, am a member of the Greater Houston Health Connect HIE and I am involved at the national level on the AOA’s health information exchange committee.As a nationally recognized speaker, I have lectured at more than twenty state associations, the American Optometric Associations meeting, Vision Expo, the American Academy of Optometry's meeting, the Vision Source Exchange, SECO, as well as numerous national optometric group meetings. I am a consultant and/or speaker for several ophthalmic companies, including: Crystal Practice management, Diopsys, Tear Science, Solution Reach, Bausch and Lomb, Katena, and Alcon. I was awarded the Young OD of the year award by the TOA in 2012, as well as several president's awards over the years, and most recently received recognition by the TOA for my leadership as president. I also received the Entrepreneur of the year award by the Beaumont Texas Chamber of Commerce for my business' impact on the local community.
