Peter is a property valuation and tax leader with proven experience working with recognized leaders in real estate, technology and public utilities assessing tax risk, managing tax compliance and negotiating business and property tax valuations in state and local taxing jurisdictions (SALT) including all indirect tax across the United States. His valuation experience includes both business and property valuation including local and central assessed property tax valuation, fair market, replacement cost estimation, insurable values, cost segregation, net book tax accounting, sales & use tax, partnership and REIT tax, capital expenditures, real estate, personal property and intangible asset valuation. He also has significant experience in tax litigation, appeal negotiations and settlements including testifying on high-value property tax legal cases. Additionally, he has worked in commercial property & casualty insurance, property & casualty loss, policy compliance and real estate risk management. Formerly, he raced for the UCI Pro-Continental cycling team, Team Novo Nordisk Devo, where he trained and raced with UCI professional riders, international coaches and team staff. During his professional cycling career he competed in the 2012-13 UCI America Tour and the 2013 NRC/NCC Calendar among multiple US National and State Championships. In serving his community, Peter contributes to charities,non-profits and civil service including the City of Englewood, Denver Parks & Recreation, Keep North Fulton Beautiful, Safe House Outreach, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Mercy Ministries and others. He currently serves on the City of Englewood Colorado Budget Advisory Committee (Chair), contributes to the International Property Tax Institute’s Corporate Advisory Board (Toronto, ON), has previously been a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation Member (IPT), Tax Executives Institute Member (TEI), Council On State Taxation Member (COST), is a Marshall & Swift Certified Commercial Cost Appraiser and formerly was appointed to the NAIOP Principal Developing Leader & Forums (4 years) was an NRRA Qualified Risk Manager while also completing coursework with the Appraisal Institute, Western States Association of Tax Administrators (WSATA) and real estate’s Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) among other training including Alteryx' data analytics platform.
