Litigated disputes related to deceptive marketing, Federal Trade Commission regulations and CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. Reported to Managing Partner and Partner.• Represented Impulse Marketing Group, an email marketing company, in one of the first CAN-SPAM Act cases in the country (Gordon v. Impulse Marketing Group, Inc.).• Transitioned from litigator to transactional attorney through the support of the Managing Partner, building an expertise in transactional work and a deeper understanding of identifying litigation loopholes that were not contractually closed. • Mitigated damage related to FTC and FCC complaints regarding deceptive marketing, spamming, cramming and slamming for Miss Cleo, psychic pay-per-call service, and several affiliate marketing companies.
