* Produced a world-class IP portfolio of dozens of US and international patent filings and hundreds of claims, protecting Outrider's position as the leader in yard truck automation.* Conceived the strategic initiatives to rapidly expand Outrider's business.

* Introduced the Product Management function at Outrider and hired a lean PM team of 4 people.* Planned the multi-year roadmap to build a new industry and scale to a multi-billion dollar company.* Liaised with Fortune 50 customers, promoting the Outrider System and refining future plans* Helped raise $190M over multiple funding rounds.

* Scaled the hardware organization (electrical and mechanical functions) from 1 engineer to over 20.* Architected a safe, scalable autonomous yard truck hardware system with an aggressive target cost.* Delivered Outrider's first 10 autonomous yard trucks for internal testing and customer pilots.

* Established the Systems Engineering team at Outrider and set up key development processes.* Launched Outrider's field engineering team with 4 new hires, ensuring performance at customer sites.* Developed the safety system for Outrider's first driverless operations on a customer site.

* Created the first Outrider AV hardware prototype with a team of 3, resulting in Outrider's first fully autonomous yard truck.

* Designed the functional and physical architectures for the eXpeditionary Robotic-Platform (XR-P) with a special focus on the electronic systems.* Managed budget and schedule and aligned technical direction across multiple robotics projects.* Led bid and proposal efforts for advanced unmanned systems for DoD customers.

* Managed $5M+ budget, schedule and technical execution of the Autonomous Mobility Applique System (AMAS), including systems engineering, safety, hardware, and software.* Trained 4 new technical leads and a new Project Manager over a 1-month period to enable product line expansion.* Communicated with customers for all technical interactions and bid/proposal efforts.

* Budget and schedule responsibility for the technical execution encompassing hardware, software, and integration activities.* Delivered a system at the end of the AMAS JCTD phase (Aug 2014) that upgrades existing tactical wheeled vehicles by adding actuation, sensing, and processing to provide drive-by-wire capabilities, driver warning and assist functions, and enabling fully autonomous operations.* Key technical point-of-contact for transitioning AMAS technology for adjacent commercial and military opportunities.* Key proposal contributor to win competitive bid for AMAS and follow-on contracts.* Designed and led implementation of the hardware system architecture for AMAS. * Built, delivered, and maintained 18 systems, 12 of which were installed onto 8 different types of tactical wheeled vehicles. * Designed a SIL-3 hardware-only safety system for disconnecting computer control and initiating an Emergency Stop to halt multi-ton convoy vehicles.* Led hardware support for a customer-run 4-week Technical Demonstration, 4-week Safety Assessment Test with the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), and a 6-week Operational Demonstration using warfighters.

* Software developer for the Convoy Active Safety Technologies (CAST) program, responsible for infrastructure components including sensor data acquisition and distribution, robust communications amongst convoy vehicles, and reliable tele-operation using streaming video and remote control. * Performed system integration and field testing for CAST vehicles, including debugging and modifying software and hardware systems on-the-fly. * Developed custom circuit cards and firmware for power distribution, user interface, and signal conditioning.

* Developed software for UAV guidance, navigation, and control; LADAR-based obstacle detection; and inter-process communications for the Autonomous Collaborative Operations (ACO) project.* Executed field tests for collaborative UAVs.
