As a Moving Image Specialist with more than 20 years’ experience across cinema, broadcast and video-on-demand, I am proficient in the operation of the full breadth of latest digital technology and have in-depth knowledge across multiple technical platforms such as Windows, MacOS, Linux, Keynote and MS Office Suite. Working with the Media Manager in that area, I designed, built and implemented a database for the production team to use.* Implementation of Freedom Information Act - Part of the team responsible for the implementation of the FOI Act across the BBC, including to help research and produce the Publication Scheme.* Parenting website/Child of Our Time - worked to assist the production teams with their video archiving requirements on using an asset management system, known as Colledia.* Media Manager video - part of a team of Media Managers who produced a short video all about Media Management in the BBC. The video, narrated by Alan Yentob, included interviews with senior people in the BBC including the Director General and Head of Radio 4.* Data Migration project - worked as a Subject Matter Expert on the migration of four BBC archive systems, to a single system. One of the systems, INFAX was nearly 30 years old and contained a variety of different types of the same programme and archive stock information. I worked with the team to understand the data structures, requirements, along with testing. * Launch the BBC iPlayer - I was part of the team to who built and launched the world famous BBC iPlayer product. I worked to set the standards for the programme information which appeared on the site. I also carried out an audit of the AV content which appeared on the bbd.co.uk website at the time. -
