Responsible for all actions necessary to create and open a private, independent, co-ed Catholic college preparatory high school for students of limited economic means, using the Cristo Rey model, and create and launch a fee-for-service, temporary employment agency-modeled workforce development program for the same students, contracting with local professional companies/organizations for weekly student employment. This includes selecting and securing a site, renovating and enhancing a historic campus, hiring staff, designing organizational policies and procedures, obtaining state and local approvals and accreditation, obtaining commitments from corporations to sponsor the students, recruiting students and families, raising over $25MM in support, and much more.Cristo Rey Richmond High School is a Catholic learning community that educates young people of limited economic means to become men and women of faith, purpose, and service. Through a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, integrated with a relevant work study experience, students graduate ready to succeed in college and in life.
