Was a Fellow of the Chartered Insititute of Legal Excutives, now retired from managing our Royal Wootton Bassett office, one of four that my firm has across Wiltshire. 25 years in the law with many years experience in managing and motivating teams of lawyers and fee-earners.In my previous career as an archaeologist I excavated at sites in England, France and Spain, organised and spoke at numerous national and international conferences, wrote and edited books and papers and for a number of years served as Chairman of the Bath Archaeological Trust.Most of my legal career was in civil litigation, being made a Member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel. I also dealt with private client work, including wills, probate, trusts, powers of attorney and estate planning.In April 2018 I took up a new part-time position as House Security at Bowood House near Calne. I deal with all aspects of security but also meet and greet our many visitors and tell them something of the history of the house, estate and the family that has owned it since 1754.
