Strategic analysis, business development and market analysis for multiple major-ship programs including Air Wafare Destroyers, FFG Upgrades, Future Frigates, and Amphibious Ships.Part of three-person team that negotiated Bath Iron Work's (USN Destroyer shipbuilder in Maine, USA) support for AWD project.Visited and developed relationships with governments, embassies, navies, ship designers and shipyards in USA, Spain, England, Scotland, Germany, France, Netherlands, Ukraine, Malta, Japan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Hong Kong and China. Held discussions with negotiations with major combat system corporations from USA, UK, Germany, Spain and Israel. Also undertook negotiations with ship and Ekranoplan designers from Russia and Croatia.ASC representative of the Australian Shipbuilder Advisory Group to Australian Department of Defence for Amphibious Ship Project.ASC representative of Australian Maritime Engineering Cooperative Research Centre (AMECRC) and Australian Shipbuilding Council.Conceived the rationale and philosophy for a Common User Facility (CUF) at Osborne. Prepared the concept design for the CUF and assisted with marketing the idea to the Government of South Australia who subsequently adopted the concept.Managed the team that analysed and developed the requirements, specifications and then designed the new shipyard infrastructure at Osborne. Estimated the capital costs of the new infrastructure.Developed a range of offshore patrol vessels, coastal patrol boats, high speed interceptor craft and high speed landing craft for Australian and offshore clients. Role included leading team designing, estimating and/or developing production design packages for vessels built. Nine patrol vessels and three landing craft built.
