I represent clients in criminal and civil litigation in federal and state courts. By assisting clients to respond to grand jury subpoenas and inquiries from US Justice Dept., FBI, IRS, SEC and other agencies and intervening early I have been successful in diverting investigations from criminal to civil to complete vindications. I have obtained reversals in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, acquittals at trials, etc. On several occasions, I have persuaded federal prosecutors to grant deferred prosecutions and even dismiss outright indicted cases. On two occasions, co-counsel and I convinced the US Attorney General to de-authorize a high profile death penalty cases.Specialties: White collar criminal defense, money laundering, RICO, secuties, investment and other fraud and other criminal charges, as well as non-criminal investigations and proceedings
