CurrentIn a nuclear or radiological emergency, present complex technical issues in plain language as the IAEA spokesperson at Member State and media briefings; prepare relevant information materials for the Director General and the OPIC. Develop and coordinate communication strategy for nuclear or radiological incidents and emergencies in line with the IAEA Safety Standards, emergency preparedness and response guidelines and the IAEA communication strategy. Develop Safety Standards and Emergency Preparedness and Response Guidance addressing public communication in preparedness and response for nuclear or radiological emergency arrangements (scientific secretary and contributor for a General Safety Guide 14; International Nuclear Event Scale (INES) coordinator). Develop and test public communication products and tools for use in nuclear or radiological emergencies to meet internal and external stakeholder needs. Co-design and participate in emergency exercises. Manage a coordinated research project related to counteracting malicious misinformation that undermines trust in official public information in nuclear emergencies.
