When I was 12 years old I started building bicycles from parts scavenged from the local transfer station. After a few years of bicycle racing, I transitioned to motorcycles and motorcycle road racing. That led me to turn my hobby into a business that thrived for 30 years. In the never-ending quest for more speed, I learned to problem solve under duress. I learned how to build more powerful race engines and better handling chassis. In 1996 I bought a precision co-ordinate measuring machine for motorcycles that set my company apart from all others. This allowed me to achieve over a 90% market share in road race and street bike suspension market in the Northeastern United States. To be successful in competition, especially motorsports competition, you must never be satisfied. Machines need to be serviced, optimized, built and rebuilt, improved and tested. Riders must improve fitness and reaction time, skills need to be learned, re-learned and committed to muscle memory. Teams need to assembled, trained, practiced, and managed. Sponsors need to be acquired, promoted and shown the results of their advertising dollars. Logistics are critical. Team members, transporters, race bikes and support staff need to all arrive at the same place, with all the resources need to execute their respective duties.I was able to accomplish all of this, while at the same time operating a full time shop with employees, daily work schedules, product development, inventory control, accounting and HR duties and all the other responsibilities that go with owning a business.I am now ready to apply all these skills and experience to a new challenge. If you need someone with the drive to always improve themselves, loves learning new and challenging skills, empowering people to be and do their best, and who's moto is "Perfect is close enough", perhaps we should connect.
